We have some fantastic news to share!

The East Riding Food Poverty Alliance has secured funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for three years to deliver our Roads to Resilience project, which started 1st November 2026.

This funding will help us continue working alongside our members and local partners to support residents experiencing food poverty and financial hardship across the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Through this project, we will help bring vital advice closer to residents, improve access to affordable and nutritious food, support families to build financial resilience, create opportunities for volunteering and skills development, and strengthen the community organisations working hard to support local people.

Living in a rural area should not mean missing out on support. We want to reach the people who need us, including those who face barriers accessing services because of distance, transport or financial pressures.

Jodie Spink, Forward Development Officer at ERFPA, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to receive this support from The National Lottery Community Fund. This funding will allow us to continue developing the Alliance and supporting residents who fall through the net because of the rurality of our region.”

We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and everyone who plays the National Lottery for helping make this work possible. Together, we are building stronger communities and working towards a future where everyone can access the food, advice and support they need.

🎃 Cherry Tree Youth Hub – This Week’s Activities! 👻

We have lots of Halloween fun planned at the Youth Hub this week! Take a look at our opening times and activities below.

📅 Monday: Staff training – Youth Hub closed.

📅 Tuesday: Ages 15+ | 5:00pm–7pm

📅 Wednesday: Ages 10–12 | 5:00pm–6:30pm.

📅 Thursday: 🎃 Halloween Goat Yoga Trip! 🐐
For ages 12–14.
🕟 Meet at the Youth Hub at 4:30pm.
🚌 We will return by bus at 7:30pm.

📅 Friday: Youth Hub closed.

👻 We’re looking forward to a fantastic week of Halloween fun, activities and making memories!
