Please see information below regarding Armed Forces Day. We will be having a short service from around 10:10am on the Town Hall Steps with cadets, Pipe Band and Brass Quintet in attendance. We hope you can join us - please share!

Good morning everyone, the larder is open and well stocked. why not come along and see what we have. lots of of fresh vegetables and basic essentials. Minimum donation is £2 but you can donate more if you feel you should. Larder is open until 12. We also have lots of bread and rolls in our reception area that are free and require good homes, these are available all day. Donation tin is on the wall should you wish to donate for these items.

Lets save food from going to waste together!!

We have just taken delivery of some excess plants that are looking for a new home and some tlc. They are available outside the William Elder building for anyone who would like them. Please feel free to help yourself 😊

We just ask that everyone is considerate and leaves some for others in the community to enjoy too. Sharing is caring.

So far in 2026 we have supported 160 households with crisis support. The food parcels we have given out have supported a total of 216 adults and 125 children.

The main larder is open until 12.00pm, but we have also have some items that are only just out of date and need saved from landfill, please call in and help yourself to any of the items.

There is lots of fabulous items in the Larder, so pop along before 12.00pm, make a £2 donation and get up to 10 items. We have lots of fresh items in the fridge, lots of Southern Fried Chicken, Buttermilk Chicken, bread and Salmon in the freezer.

Just a wee comment on the Community Book SWAP, we have recently received a large donation of fabulous books so the bookshelf is full.....Even though it is full of lovely books, we would appreciate it if you could only SWAP a book, rather than take 5 or 6 and not put anything in. (the clue is in the title!!)

Please do not just take the books. Leave some books for others to swap and enjoy! In the reception area of the William Elder Building and available when the building is open.
