WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SMALL CORE TEAM

The Berwick Fringe Festival is growing quickly, and I’m looking to bring in a small group (3–4 people) to help shape and deliver it.

This isn’t about handing out flyers for a weekend. It’s about being part of building something meaningful for Berwick’s music scene.

I’m looking for people who want to get stuck in across areas like:

• Artist liaison and comms
• Social media and content
• Event coordination across venues
• General problem-solving and getting things done

You don’t need loads of experience, just reliability, good energy, and a genuine interest in music and community.

These are voluntary roles for this year’s pilot, but you’ll be part of something that’s aiming to create real, long-term opportunities for musicians in Berwick.

If that sounds like you, drop me a message at
[email protected]

🎟️ WRISTBANDS ARE LIVE

Right, it’s happening.

You can now get your Berwick Fringe Festival wristbands:

👉 Online - www.ampedberwick.co.uk/berwick-fringe-festival
👉 At Northern Edge (Marygate) CASH ONLY
👉 Directly from the bands

This is where you make your choice.

Every wristband you buy from a band = money straight to them.
Simple as that.

So don’t just pick a weekend…
pick who you’re backing.

You can still head into venues, grab a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere as normal.

But if you want to properly support the artists,
be part of the Fringe,
and unlock what we’re building…

👉 get a wristband
👉 back a band
👉 spread the word

This is year one.
It only works if people get behind it.

Who are you backing?

🎶 FIRST WAVE OF ARTISTS ANNOUNCED

If you’ve been wondering who to back… here’s your starting point.

We’re excited to share the first group of artists playing the Berwick Fringe Festival 2026 👇

When you buy a wristband, you can choose a band to support —
and every sale through them goes straight to that artist.
WRISTBANDS ON SALE TOMORROW! (MONDAY 20th)
Not sure who to pick?

No problem.

You can still grab a wristband, and your support will go into a shared pot that helps support artists and venues across the festival fairly.

So whether you’ve got a favourite already
or you’re discovering someone new…

👉 pick a band
👉 take a chance
👉 be part of it

More artists still to come.

This is just the beginning.

Who are you backing?

🎟️ Wristbands go on sale Monday 20th April

We’re pressing pause on venue announcements for a moment, because this is the bit that makes the whole thing work.

From Monday 20th, Berwick Fringe Festival wristbands will be available:

📍 Northern Edge, Marygate Northern Edge Coffee
💷 £6
🎶 One wristband = access to fringe activities all weekend

This only works if you play your part

When you buy a wristband, you’ll be asked to nominate an artist.

👉 That £6 goes directly to that band
👉 No cuts, no percentages
👉 Just straight support

Even better, buy directly from the bands themselves.
They’ll have wristbands to sell, and every one they sell = money straight to them.

And there’s more coming…

We’re working with local businesses to build wristband perks across the town.
Discounts, offers, little extras all tied to supporting the festival.

More on that very soon.

So here’s the ask

Don’t just turn up.

✔ Choose an artist you want to back
✔ Buy your wristband through them (or nominate them when you buy)
✔ Tell your mates who you’re supporting

That’s how we make sure musicians actually get paid.

Why we’re doing it this way

Because grassroots music doesn’t survive on exposure.

It survives when:

audiences actively support artists
money goes where it should
and live music is part of everyday spaces

This is a pilot year, we’re building something fair, transparent, and properly rooted in Berwick.

Venue announcements resume shortly.

Monday 20th be ready.
Back the artists. Choose your band. Be part of it.

Berwick Youth Project

Learn. Grow. Perform.
The Berwick Youth Project is where music becomes a pathway. Workshops, talks, and youth-led performances create a space for young people to step forward, try things out, and build confidence. This is the future of the scene, happening in real time.

Quick note from me as things ramp up with the Fringe.
Everyone who has enquired will receive a response, if you haven’t heard back yet, it will be with you very soon.

Please also check your junk/spam folders, a few replies have ended up there.

We’ve had a huge amount of interest, which is brilliant, but it does mean I’m currently working through a high volume of messages on my own.

I’m doing my best to respond to everyone as quickly as possible, and I appreciate your patience. (But I am human and can miss messages)

One thing I do need to be clear on:
Amped and the Fringe are built on respect, community, and supporting musicians properly.
Rude or abusive messages won’t be tolerated, and they won’t receive a response.
If you’re keen to be involved, that’s great, just keep it respectful and bear with me.

This is a pilot year, and we’re building something positive for Berwick.
More updates coming soon. Love you all :-)

We’ve updated this post with new visuals created locally.

Really appreciate the feedback on this, as a grassroots, first-year festival we’re learning as we go, but it’s important to us that we support local creatives across the board.

If you’d like to get involved in the Fringe as a photographer, designer or visual artist, we’d love to hear from you.

Northern Edge – Silver Street
Music to fuel you.
Northern Edge brings the perfect blend of coffee and sound, a space to discover new artists and soak up the atmosphere as the day winds down. Expect laid-back evening sets, stripped-back sessions, and music that carries you through those 6–11pm Fringe hours. Northern Edge Coffee
