This is at the core of our financial literacy program. We want to help young people explore their wants and needs, learn about local businesses and jobs, and find out how public services support everyday life.

We are incredibly proud to join the national conversation alongside enterprise this week, highlighting the theme ‘Money in My Community’.

We surveyed 300+ young people, and here’s what they shared:
🔹 60% don’t feel confident managing their money
🔹 Many struggle to budget or track spending
🔹 Top challenges include saving & investing, sticking to a budget, and managing debt
🔹64% have been targeted by financial scams or fake job offers.

But here’s the most important part: This isn’t just data to us. At Elmhope, we love hearing your views. Your honest feedback is shaping our courses and resources, to ensure they tackle the exact challenges you face every day.
