Preparing a Will is one of the most important things you can do for the people you care about. It deserves to be done properly, by a business you can trust.

Unlike everyday purchases, the quality of legal services like will writing can sometimes take years to come to light, by which point it can be difficult or impossible to put things right.

Getting it right first time matters.

Choosing an Approved Code Scheme business means commitment to a clear Code of Practice, ensuring the right standards are met each time. Every ACS business is vetted and audited by Chartered Trading Standards Practitioners, with independent dispute resolution available if you ever need it.

Extra peace of mind for one of life's most important moments.

Buying a new-build home before it is built often means making decisions before seeing the finished property or plot. There are various other factors to consider beyond the property itself, including things like neighbouring access, development layouts, parking, boundaries and more.

Approved codes like 'Consumer Code for Home Builders' can help consumers understand what to ask, what information to expect and how to make more informed decisions before problems arise.

Every year, UK consumers lose over £70bn to poor standards and rogue traders.

The Approved Code Scheme exists to change that. By holding businesses to higher standards, ensuring independent Chartered Trading Standards Institute audits, and guaranteeing consumers access to free dispute resolution, the scheme is helping build markets that people can actually trust.

The Approved Code Scheme aims to raise standards, protect consumers and support economic growth. We have already covered £281bn of consumer spend, £2M recovered for consumers, and have 40,000+ businesses committed to the scheme.
