The charities have joined forces to help Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust power up hospitals and push the limits of what’s possible with NHS funding Royal Devon Hospitals Charity (Registered charity No. 1061384) is the new name for Over and Above and the RD&E Charity. The charities have joined forces to support Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust following

the merger of the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust in April 2022. Money raised helps fund new equipment, services and facilities; staff training and wellbeing; and research and development, over and above what’s possible with NHS funding. Altogether, there are more than 250 different funds set up to support the Trust’s hospitals and community, specialist and primary care services across north, mid and eastern Devon. You can raise money for the specific hospital, ward or service that you choose to support. Or if you’d prefer, you can raise money for general funds and we’ll ensure the money is used by Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, wherever the need is greatest. Royal Devon Hospitals Charity continues to raise funds for the Fern Centre, North Devon’s purpose-built cancer and wellbeing centre, which provides cancer patients with free access to information, complementary therapies and counselling.
