📚 Bringing coastal learning to life 🌊

's Coastal Curriculum gives young people practical ways to learn about the coast and the opportunities connected to it 🤝

Through coastal visits, hands-on science and technology activities, and working with local experts and people from the marine energy industry, learners explore topics such as climate change, marine energy and coastal wildlife 🦭

This is ocean literacy in practice: helping learners understand their coast, build a connection to it and see the part they could play in its future.

Drama gerddorol yw ‘Natur’ sy’n archwilio ein cysylltiad gyda’r byd naturiol o’n cwmpas. Sut mae ein ffordd o fyw yn cael effaith ar y blaned a bywyd gwyllt? Beth all pob un ohonom ni wneud er mwyn atal llygredd a chynhesu byd eang?

Crëwyd y cynhyrchiad gan y cerddor a’r cyfansoddwr poblogaidd Morgan Elwy gyda chefnogaeth Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch. Mae’r perfformiad yn mynd a chi ar daith bythgofiadwy i brofi rhyfeddodau ac argyfyngau y byd ni’n rhan ohoni, ond ydyn ni’n gallu achub y blaned cyn bod hi’n rhy hwyr?

‘Nature’ is a musical drama that explores our connection with the natural world around us. How does the way we live affect the planet and wildlife? What can each of us do to prevent pollution and global warming?

The production was created by popular musician and composer Morgan Elwy with the support of Arad Goch Theatre Company. The performance takes you on an unforgettable journey to experience the wonders and crises of the world we’re a part of—but can we save the planet before it’s too late?

Celebrating all things seaweed with our partners Câr-Y-Môr at the Wales Festival of Seaweed Gwyl Gwymon Cymru ! 🪸

Y Môr a Ni ran arts and crafts workshops, VR taster sessions and spread awareness of our connection with the sea, using seaweed as a tool to engage the Pembrokeshire public with ocean literacy 🌍

Câr-y-Môr also kindly gave us a behind the scenes tour of their facilities, showed us fresh local catches of cockles and lobster and described the process of turning seaweed into biofertilizer! Amazing job guys! 💙

🌊 Pembrokeshire’s coast supports important wildlife, local communities and the economy. Balancing its social, economic and environmental needs can be complex.

🌍 PCF is a Community Interest Company specialising in independent stakeholder engagement, partnership working and project development. Its work covers marine renewable energy, climate adaptation, education, skills and engagement, sustainable recreation, and water quality and land use.

👭 By bringing people with different interests together, sharing evidence and building trust, PCF helps communities, organisations and decision-makers understand coastal issues and shape practical responses.

💙 This is Ocean Literacy in practice: developing knowledge, communication and trust, and enabling people to participate in decisions about the coast and sea.
