LAUNCH OF BANGOR INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVAL 2026

Festival ‘26 was launched this morning at City Hall Bangor with the Mayor of Ards and North Down Councillor Gillian McCollum, Sponsors from Signature Schools and Guillemot Cafe & Wine Bar, Festival Committee & Supporters.

The Festival will run from Thursday 23 April to Saturday 25 April at St Comgall’s Parish Centre, Brunswick Road, Bangor, with Primary Schools taking to the stage on Thursday from 10am, Special Schools on Friday from 11am and Youth and Adult Choirs on Saturday from 10.45am, as well as the Gala Evening on Saturday commencing at 7pm, where choirs will compete for the prestigious Open Choral Award.

Entry fee at door for the Thursday competitions is £3, for Saturday competitions is £5, and for Saturday Gala Evening the entry fee is £6.

Friday evening will showcase a complimentary concert with some choirs including Bangor Ladies Choir, Miskelly Chorale and Rathmore Primary School, starting at 7.30pm. There will be no charge for this concert but donations to the Festival Fund are welcome.
