Today would've been your first day of school 🩷

Every September, social media feeds and family group chats are full of photos from parents showing their child’s first day of school. It's a beautiful moment, full of pride and excitement ahead of a brand new year.

But we know for lots of people in our community, the first day of school is just another heartbreaking reminder of what could have been if their much-loved baby had made it. Milestones like this can be painful and hard to deal with.

If you're struggling, we want to remind you we're here for you. Our baby loss information, support and stories are available 24/7 on our website and our lovely midwives are here for you at [email protected].

We want as many families as possible to bring their babies home. That's why we fund £2m of research every year to make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone. Find out more: https://bit.ly/3YTVxDP

"I wasn’t sure if we wanted to try again because I just felt like I really don’t want to have to go through that again."

Last week, Vogue Williams opened up about her experience of miscarriage, having been through 2 losses over the last 7 years. The news came as she shared the news she and her husband Spencer Matthews are expecting a baby later in the year.

In a video on her YouTube channel, Vogue said she was about to tell her children she was pregnant last year when she found out at a scan her baby hadn't grown as usual. She said this loss left her feeling nervous about the idea of getting pregnant again.

We're grateful to Vogue for sharing her experience of loss and know she'll be helping so many others feel less alone.
