4 Years. Today is the 4th anniversary of Tom's accident. 4 years without one one the brightest lights any of us have ever known. It feels like a moment and a lifetime all at once.

We're not going to say much, but we are going to remember. We're going to spend time today remembering all of the wonderful memories we have of Tom, and thinking about what he might be up to if he were still here today.

All we ask if that you too spend just one minute thinking about Tom. Your memories of Tom, or what you think Tom might be doing today, or what the Trust with Tom's name has done for you.

We recently supported Emily to complete her Mountain Leader Training course....and it looks like she had an incredible week!

We're proud to be able to give people a helping had like this - by no means does this make the journey easy for people - they still need the skills and still need to work for it, but if we can remove the financial barrier for people, that's what we're here for, and that's what we will do.

The mountains have a way of bringing people together.
Whether it's sharing a belay ledge, swapping stories over a drink after a long day, or supporting each other through challenges, climbing reminds us that we achieve more when we're part of something bigger than ourselves.
Belonging isn't about how hard you climb or how many summits you've stood on. It's about finding your people, sharing experiences, and knowing there's always a place for you.

We're well on the way to getting Furey Festival 2026 live, but before we do that, we'd like to put a big shout out to all of the Leaders and Instructors that spend their weekend delivering workshops for all of you wonderful people - we couldn't do what we do at the festival without these wonderful people, so let's show them some appreciation.

What a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend its been! The sun has been shining almost everywhere and it feels like summer is finally here.

When did you last have an adventure after sunset? 🌇

The mountains don't go anywhere, but most of the people do. Whilst going into the mountains at night needs some obvious bits of extra kit and skills, it's a great experience. It allows you to see familiar places in a whole different way, and it extends adventure time to all 24 hours of the day!

What goes on behind the scenes at TFMT?

Well, the reality is, lots of sitting at a desk doing the admin to keep the Trust running. Whether that's replying to emails, paying course providers for grant recipients, creating content for socials, planning festivals, annual accounts, supporting fundraisers or any of the other things that we do, it mostly involves desk work.

But doing what it takes with a sunset like this in the background doesn't feel like work, it feels like a passion. A passion to keep doing what Tom loved so much. A passion for the outdoors. A passion for sharing the outdoors, and making it accessible to all.
