Furey Festival is now just a couple of days away. We've got lots of exciting stuff going on from rock climbing to live music. From kit sale to mountaineering.

But one of the other wonderful things we have on is the wonderful people at Snowdonia Gear Repair ( ) and Isi Booker Physio ( ) will be with us on Saturday during the kit sale - they'll be on hand to repair any damaged clothing you bring to them, and to offer mini physio consultation and advice about looking after yourself as you live a life in the mountains.

Come along, get your kit fixed, get yourself fixed 😜

We're thrilled to have Lonely Mountain joining us to close out Saturday night (17th Oct) of the Furey Festival!

🏔️ WORKSHOP SPOTLIGHT: CRIB GOCH for Mountain Leaders 🏔️
One of the standout workshops at this year's Furey Festival: a session dedicated to working on Crib Goch as a Mountain Leader.

Crib Goch is one of the most iconic scrambles in Wales, and leading groups across it safely takes real skill, judgement and experience. This workshop will dig into the practicalities: is it appropriate for MLs, route choice and timing, managing group movement on exposed terrain, weather and escape planning, and the decision-making that goes into calling it on (or off) on the day.

This one is designed specifically for people who are already Mountain Leaders and want to dig deeper into what it takes to manage a group in this terrain.

📍 Plas-y-Brenin | 🗓️ 17th October
🎟️ Booking via the website (link in bio) — spaces are limited!

🧭 NEW TO THE MOUNTAINS? START HERE 🧭
Two of our Introductory Workshops at the Furey Festival are perfect if you're just starting to build your skills in the hills:

🗺️ Intro to Navigation — get to grips with the basics of map and compass work, from taking a bearing to making sense of contour lines, so you can head out with real confidence.

🧗 Scrambling for Beginners — an introduction to moving safely over grade 1 terrain, covering movement skills, route-finding, and when it's time to go somewhere else.

Whether you're taking your first steps beyond footpaths or just want to firm up the fundamentals, these workshops are a friendly, low-pressure place to start.
