We were delighted to welcome Mr McVeigh, Miss Turley, and the children from St Joseph's Primary School to the second day of our Create and Connect programme, funded by PeacePlus.
The children enjoyed learning how to play Boccia with our Forever Young group, under the guidance of Brendan. It was wonderful to see the young and the young at heart come together, building connections and friendships through sport and shared experiences.
Everyone enjoyed chatting over snacks, although a healthy sense of competition was certainly present throughout the games!
After the children returned to school, the Forever Young group stayed behind for refreshments and reflected on the promising young talent within the local area. It was another fantastic day of intergenerational learning, fun, and connection.
We look forward to continuing the programme on Friday 19th with a morning of flower arranging. As always, there will be plenty of opportunities for conversation, friendship, and connection over some tasty nibbles and a cup of tea.
