🔷ROAD SAFETY ROADSHOW🔷

ALPS is proud to support the upcoming Road Safe Roadshow, hosted by Ulster GAA in conjunction with Tyrone, Edendork GAC, and the NI Road Safety Partnership. We are honored to be involved and look forward to being present for this vital event.

The Road Safe Roadshow provides powerful insights into road safety, aiming to raise awareness of the consequences of dangerous driving and encourage safer choices on our roads. This event is a collaborative effort featuring representatives from:

Police Service NI
Fire & Rescue Service
Ambulance Service

Thursday, 11th June 2026
7pm – 8.30pm
Edendork St Malachys GAA, Co. Tyrone

This event is aimed at young drivers but is suitable for all adults and young people aged 16 years and over.

Tickets are £5 per person and we are incredibly grateful that all proceeds from this event are being donated to ALPS.

On behalf of everyone at ALPS, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Desertmartin and the Ballinascreen Dads & Lads for your incredible support during your recent mental health awareness event.

It was an honor to be part of such a meaningful series of events. We are especially grateful for the special match held at the club, which brought both the Desertmartin and Ballinascreen Dads & Lads teams together in a fantastic display of sportsmanship.

🔷🔷We love a good Tractor Run🔷🔷

Get ready for a fantastic day out, We are counting down the days until this Sunday, 31st May, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone to the Bright Community Centre once again.

Fingers crossed the weather holds for it as it is shaping up to be a brilliant community gathering.

This special event is being organised by our dear friends the Clendenning family as well as our local community radio station and we are so proud to share that all proceeds will benefit both FM 105 (Down Community Radio) and ourselves.

We are also thrilled to announce that there will be a Kids' Tractor Run before the main event! Bring the little ones along with their ride-on tractors or toy vehicles to join the fun. It is the perfect way for our youngest community members to get in on the excitement before the big machines take over.

The doors officially open at 1:30 PM, so come along to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the festivities. The main Tractor and Car Run kicks off at 2:30 PM.

Let’s be honest, we absolutely love a good tractor run—whether it is the big ones or the little ones, there is nothing quite like it.

Visitors can also explore our wonderful craft village, which will be showcasing the very best of our talented local producers.

We look forward to seeing you all there for a day of fun, community spirit, and engines roaring in support of great causes

We had the honour of visiting the community in Aghadowey last week where over 30 people turned out to participate in our believing is seeing workshop, our 90 minute introductory Su***de Prevention programme.

We had an amazing evening with everyone and look forward with huge anticipation of returning again very soon to complete the fully accredited QPR Training with the community there.

Huge thanks to Fr Neil and the community for the hospitality and for inviting us along.

We loved being back at St Mary's recently running transition workshops with the amazing P7 classes as they prepare for the big move to secondary school.

Our sessions were all about embracing change and helping the pupils feel confident as they step into new schools, new locations, and exciting new experiences over the coming months.

Thank you to the school for having us back. This group is full of potential and they are going to do amazing things in their next chapter!

Once again we had the privilege to be present at the Youth League Finals weekend , our job was to present the trophies, medals and witness first hand the wrath of local talent on display.

We are deeply honoured to have been the main sponsor of the youth league now for many many years and look forward to the future as our links continue to develop and grow.

We wish to thank all within the league for their support of ALPS and our work and also wish to congratulate and commend them on all their dedication and work throughout the year culminating in yet another successful season of football in the area.

It was a fantastic two days of a football enjoyed by all.

To the thousands of you who set your alarms, laced up your shoes, and walked into the sunrise this weekend with us —thank you.

Seeing our community come together across 40 locations in 4 counties, not only that though we had people joining us and participating from Australia, and London, it's simply breathtaking

Whether you walked in memory of a loved one, in support of your own journey, or simply to show up for your neighbors, you sent a powerful message:

Your energy and dedication are the heartbeat of this event. We are so grateful to the communities for showing up for one another and proving how strong we are when we stand together.
