This afternoon we're at the Carers Centre Stronger Together event at Hyde Town Hall. A well attended event despite the rain!! It's great to be able to talk to people about TASF and the support we provide. From early intervention to crisis support and everything in-between.

It's great to be able to work in partnership with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Agnes to provide Shared Ground Support sessions on a monthly basis. Questions get answered, confidence is built, connections are made and people find this really helpful.

For people living with a serious mental illness, carers play an invaluable role in their recovery and helping them to live well.

A carer can be a family member, friend, or anyone who provides unpaid support.

Carers Week is all about building carer friendly communities, highlighting this impact and sharing the support available for carers.

Agnes is a carer support worker with our Tameside and Glossop specialist (community) mental health teams.

Agnes can offer time to listen, help with access services for a carers assessment, and is a regular presence at the Shared Ground Carer monthly carers support and information group with The Anthony Seddon Fund.

Agnes said: “I’ve supported 3 carers to attend the shared ground carer group. They enjoyed the session, valued having a voice and this motivated them to attend the Reiki session to meet with other cares, doing something for themselves”

There's also a Tameside Carers Stronger Together event tomorrow, from 1-3pm at Hyde Town Hall Tameside Council

Agnes will be there along with many other professionals and organisations - please come along for a chat, to ask questions and find out what support is available.

We’re incredibly grateful for the businesses who partner with us to support workplace wellbeing and su***de prevention. These partnerships are more than collaboration - they’re a commitment to creating healthier, more compassionate workplaces where people feel seen, supported, and safe.

Maybe you work for a local business that might be interested in partnering with us!

If you know an organisation or business looking to strengthen its approach to mental health and wellbeing, let's connect and start a conversation. Together, we can make a real difference.

This Wednesday the 10th we have our Guardian Angels Group from 9.30am. An opportunity to meet and talk about your experiences of raising grandchildren and what you think could support you as a grandparent raising grandchildren, alongside the support of our teams (for example private family arrangement, Special Guardianship Order).

Comments from Grandparents:
‘Nice to speak to people in a similar situation, it’s a comfort to know I’m not as isolated and alone and there’s a wealth of knowledge between us, I want to meet again’. The Leap Children & Families Centre Action Together
