A true champion 🎖️

Huge thanks to Jodie on completing the Manchester Half Marathon and raising over £1,400 for Pennine Care Charity.

Jodie is a community psychiatric nurse with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust young and rare dementia team in Stockport and adds:

“I used the opportunity to raise funds to support people with young onset dementia and their families.

“We rely on donations to run our groups and activities, including walking groups, an allotment project, monthly drop-ins, and carers sessions.

“ These spaces offer patients and families emotional, social and peer support, helping them to feel understood and connected during an incredibly difficult time.”

Congratulations to our supporters for completing the Great Manchester 10K Run 🏅

Together, these nine have raised nearly £3,000 to support the work of Pennine Care Charity and make a difference to the lives of people within Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust services.

“I chose to run the Manchester 10K for Pennine Care Charity because of the positive impact the charity has on people’s lives. Being able to support the charity and take on a personal challenge made crossing the finish line even more rewarding,” Lauren Taylor explained.

These stunning photos are from Alison’s six-week pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago, walking 470 miles across Northern Spain.

Alison took on this incredible challenge to raise funds supporting Pennine Care Charity’s work across mental health, learning disability, and autism services.

Now nearly five weeks into her journey, Alison has shared beautiful snapshots of the stunning landscapes she’s been walking through.

The Great Manchester 10K Run takes place next weekend. Our supporters will be running alongside 40,000 people through the streets of Manchester to raise funds for our charity’s work.

Three peaks conquered!

These 44 amazing supporters have raised £13,000 by completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The funds raised will go towards brilliant patient projects, like including music therapy sessions on Ramsbottom Ward and creating sensory boxes for people supported by the older adult home intervention team.

Louise Harney was one of our super supporters and said:
“It was a surreal experience with spectacular views, and for such an amazing cause. I met some amazing colleagues who helped get me through the challenge and who I will certainly remember forever, as I couldn’t have done it without them.”

What an achievement! Congratulations and thank you everyone 👏
