🔌 We’re upgrading the submarine electricity cable between the Isle of Coll and the Isle of Tiree with a brand new 33Kv cable - this essential work forms part of our ongoing commitment to securing a safe, reliable, and sustainable electricity supply for Scotland’s island communities.

🌍 This new replacement cable will help us meet the needs of our existing customers across Coll and Tiree - delivering a more resilient supply of power to the islands and reducing the risk of power cuts for homes and businesses there, while at the same time, it’ll also ensure the local network has capacity to support our customers of the future .

🏘️ Last October we hosted drop-in events on both Coll and Tiree to share information on the project and gather feedback from the local communities on our proposals. Following on from these successful sessions, we’re coming back in May and our next events will take place:

📍 An Cridhe, Main Street, Isle of Coll PA78 6SY
📅 Wednesday 7 May
⏰ From 10:00 am till 3:00 pm

📍 An Talla, Isle of Tiree PA77 6UP
📅 Wednesday 14 May
⏰ From 10:00 am till 3:00 pm

So why not come along to find out more about the proposed works? Alternatively, you can read about our plans here: https://www.ssen.co.uk/coll-tiree
