Development Coll is recruiting for a Project Officer to help deliver increased sustainability and resilience on the Isle of Coll through the Carbon Neutral Islands Project.
The post is part-time and will run from July 2026 to March 2027 (with the possibility of extending).

An Cridhe are looking to hire an Assistant Manager from May - September this year (start date negotiable) for 25 hours a week.

Main responsibilities will include:

-Handling bunkhouse check-ins and e-bike hire

-Helping to facilitate events

-Covering manager as emergency contact on occasion

-Providing general assistance between the centre and bunkhouse

Join us for an online skillshare and networking event connecting artists, makers, and beach cleaners! Explore creative projects using marine plastics and beach-found objects, collaborate on future ideas and make connections.

This online event will comprise of several short talks by beachcleaners or artists with different practices informed by marine debris, followed by the chance to chat and Q&A afterwards

A Ballyhaugh Steering Group update. Duncan MacPherson Consultancy - the group undertaking the feasibility study into community ownership of the Hebridean Centre on behalf of the Ballyhaugh Steering Group - are currently running two short surveys. One survey is assessing demand for shared living space at Ballyhaugh and the other is assessing demand for business space. All are invited to complete the surveys they consider relevant to themselves:

The second round of the Islands Business Resilience Fund opened for applications on Monday. Coll has been included in the list of islands eligible for support. The fund is open to small and medium enterprises that have been affected by Ferry disruptions. Deadline for applications is the 12th of January 2026 but the application portal will be closed from the 22nd of December to the 5th of January so there's a fairly short window in which to apply.

The Islands Business Resilience Fund provides grants to boost the resilience of island businesses in tourism and perishable goods sectors impacted by prolonged ferry disruption.
