Congratulations to Amy and Amelia for doing so well in the McKeevers Chemists colouring competition. Amy won best overall in Northern Ireland and Amelia won best in Fivemiletown branch. 🎨🖌️👩🏻‍🎨

There are some people who quietly make an extraordinary difference, and our Girlguiding Ballygawley Young Leaders are exactly that. 💙

We have Ann Louise, Anna and Scarlett helping with the Rainbows 🌈 and Sophie helping with the Brownies 🦉

They all turn up with enthusiasm, kindness and commitment, giving their time to support our Rainbows and Brownies. They don't just help with activities—they encourage, inspire, listen and care deeply about every single girl.

For such a young age, their maturity, dedication and sense of responsibility are truly exceptional. They notice the little things, step in when someone needs a helping hand, celebrate every achievement and help create a safe, fun and welcoming environment where our girls can thrive.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Young Leaders. Your commitment, compassion and willingness to give back to Girlguiding Ballygawley does not go unnoticed by the girls, their parents or the adult volunteers. You are wonderful role models, and the future of guiding is in very capable hands.

Thank you for everything you do. We are so lucky to have you! 🌈🤎💙

We had a great Rainbow Leavers sleepover followed by all the Rainbows going on an outing next day to Fermanagh Fun Farm with the 1st Ballygawley Scout Group. 🐑🌈❤️

We enjoyed the petting farm where we were holding rabbits and guinea pigs, we fed a variety of friendly animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, ducks and a great big pig and hungry goat who tried to eat the feeding bowl🐇🐓🐐🐖

We brushed and walked the ponies - Ella meeting one called Ella, Penny helped the Highland pony called Penny, plus the Anna's meeting a horse called Anna.

We met Vikings and saw a Viking display—packed with action and history. The group also explored the Viking village, stepping back in time and learning all about life in the past.

It was a day full of learning, laughter, and hands-on fun—making memories that will last a long time!

A big thank you to Fermanagh Fun Farm for such a brilliant day out. 🌈❤️

🌈✨ What a fantastic way to finish our Guiding year at Ballygawley Rainbows! ✨🌈

We are incredibly proud of all our Rainbows and everything they have achieved this year through their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication.

A special congratulations goes to our senior Rainbows who are now preparing to move on to Brownies. An outstanding seven Gold Awards were achieved this year – a remarkable accomplishment that reflects the commitment and perseverance of these girls throughout their time in Rainbows. The Gold Award is the highest award that a Rainbow can achieve through 2 or 3 years of hard work and commitment.

We also celebrated the presentation of one Silver Award and one Bronze Award.

Many of our Rainbows were also presented with their Interest Badges and Skill Builders Badges, recognising the new skills they have learned, challenges they have completed and experiences they have enjoyed along the way. Other girls are still working on badges and we eagerly await the presentation of our football challenge badges to all the Rainbow guides.

Well done to every Rainbow for making this such a successful and enjoyable year. We wish our girls moving up to Brownies every success in their next Guiding adventure and look forward to welcoming everyone back after the summer.

🌟🏆🌟 The 4th Ballygawley winner of the Girlguiding Mid-Ulster District craft challenge has received her shield. Well done to Ann-Louise who was presented with the Ranger shield by District Commissioner Sharon.🌟🏆🌟

Ballygawley Guides and Rangers took part in the Girlguiding Mid-Ulster District Outdoor cooking challenge last Friday night. The girls all had a great night of fun and friendship while cooking a breakfast on a hike fire. The Ballygawley Berries were complemented by the food tasters on their breakfast roll (sausage and egg wrapped inside bacon). Well done to Ballygawley Five Stars and Ballygawley Rowdy Rangers who won the challenge shields. We are very proud of these 2 patrols and all our girls who took part.

Ballygawley Brownies enjoyed a wonderful residential weekend in Portstewart! ☀️🌊

The girls were blessed with lovely weather and had a fantastic time taking part in walks, crafts, activities and a little shopping too.

One of the highlights of the weekend was helping the Portstewart Community Group with their beach clean. The Brownies worked together to successfully clean up the sandy play park on the strand, helping to make it safe and enjoyable for other children to play in. 🌍💛

Well done girls — a brilliant example of teamwork, community spirit and caring for the environment! 👏

⚽️ Ballygawley Rainbows have kicked off the Girlguiding Ulster Women’s Irish FA Football Challenge Badge resource!
This week the girls got creative by designing an amazing team logo for their club before heading onto the pitch to practise their football skills. From balancing and catching to passing and plenty of teamwork and fun, everyone gave it their all! 🌈💪

☀️ Sunshine and S’mores! 🍫🔥

There is nothing quite like a summer evening at Guides! Our girls took full advantage of the gorgeous weather this week to brush up on their outdoor skills.

From gathering the wood for the woodpile, laying the fire structure to safely striking those matches, the teamwork was amazing to see. The best part? The reward at the end, of course! We toasted some seriously gooey s’mores over the open flames—sticky fingers and big smiles all around. 😋✨

Being outdoors, learning new skills, and laughing with friends... this is what guiding summers are made of!
