We were saddened to learn of the passing of our longest serving life member Davina Muir, fondly known by many as Daisy.
Daisy joined ADAMS in 1965 when it was known as Anstruther Operatic Society and became the figurehead of the society for many, many years.
Dancing onstage and taking numerous parts Daisy was always the first to arrive and loved having the bigggest and brightest costume, highlights some of you will remember include playing Lady Hadwell in Charlie Girl (which she loved because she was dressed to the nines) and Mrs Higgins in My Fair Lady.
Daisy is remembered as being one of the most welcoming members of the Operatic, a lovely lady, always smiling and laughing who always had time for a blether and had a wicked sense of humour.
Alongside being on stage and taking good care of her fellow members with her kindness, Daisy contributed to much of the unheard hard work holding position of President for an amazing 9 years, with many noting how proud they were to have worked with her on committee and grateful for her continued guidance, help and support as they navigated their way through such roles themselves.
Daisy enjoyed reminiscing about the operatic days and shows for many years after becoming unable to participate.
Daisy epitomised a musical society and life member.
The โOperaticโ held a huge place in her heart and she holds a place in ours.
We send love to her family at this difficult time.
