Beautiful, historical wedding and events venue with plans for refurbishment and restoration to secure its future in the community.

A short walk from the Auld Kirk, Newark Castle is a beautiful old ruins as old as the Kirk itself!

It’s one of many monuments of ancient St Monans life along the Fife Coastal Path. In other news, some great new signage has appeared on the path around St Monans, helping walkers safely find the High Tide and Low Tide routes.

A Kirk built in the 1360s, the story goes that it was commissioned by King David II 😮

Son of Robert the Bruce, David had this building erected on the site of an existing place of worship that existed since 1265 - 100 years earlier!

In fact, worship has been said to take place on this site since the settling of 9th century hermit Monan - from whom our village takes its name ☺️

Mind-boggling history!
