🚗 JUST TWO MONTHS TO GO — DISPLAY SPACES ARE FILLING UP!

Around half of the display spaces for the 2026 Alton Lions Classic Car Show are already booked.

🇫🇷 Our French Feature line-up is now confirmed, with some fantastic French classics joining us in August. We’re now looking for classic vehicles of every kind, make and era to fill the remaining spaces.

The Alton Lions would like to thank everyone who came along to the D‑Day celebrations today. Despite the weather, your enthusiasm and support made the day truly special. We’re so grateful to everyone who took part and helped honour such an important occasion.

A huge thank‑you as well to the fantastic bands who performed throughout the day — you brought such energy and atmosphere to the celebrations. We’re also incredibly grateful to our sponsors for their generous support, and to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Your time, effort, and enthusiasm made the event possible, and we couldn’t have done it without you

⚠️ JUST 1 DAY TO GO ⚠️
*D-Day in the Park*
📅 Saturday 6th June
🕚 11am to 4pm
📍 Alton Public Gardens, Alton, Hampshire 🇬🇧

After months of planning, building, organising, sponsorship, displays, maps and hundreds of volunteer hours… the only thing we couldn’t plan for was the weather ☔

But *D-Day in the Park* is tomorrow, and we won’t be deterred by a bit of rain 💪🇬🇧

We’re also delighted that the new *Alton Mayor* will officially open the event at 11am.

We’ve adapted parts of the event to help keep things running safely with some rain forecast, with covered areas where families can sit, shelter and enjoy the atmosphere. Many activities will also be under gazebos around the park, and hopefully the sun might even make an appearance in the afternoon ☀️

🎯 There will be lots of fun games and activities for children to enjoy, including:
🚙 Children’s Army Land Rovers
🎠 Chair-O-Planes ride
✈️ RAF Flight Simulators
🪖 Minefield Mission
🔎 D-Day Codebreaker Trail
⚓ Hook a Boat
💣 Dambusters Challenge

✈️ Children will even be able to sit in the *1/3 scale Spitfire cockpit*, start the engine and play with the controls for some fantastic photo opportunities!

•⁠ ⁠Visitors
•⁠ ⁠Military veterans

🎶 Enjoy live entertainment including the fantastic *10-piece UK Forces Veterans Show Band, **Blue Eyed Soul* and singer *Natasha Bekir*.

🎖️ The RAF Zone, Army Zone, Historic Displays, Royal Navy Zone, Army Cadets, RAF Cadets, military vehicles, stalls, BBQ, ice creams, food and lots more are still planned.

🍔 Grab yourself a burger and a drink, enjoy the live music and help us make it a **fantastic day to remember** for Alton.

Whatever the weather, we’ll battle on and do our very best to make it a special day 🇬🇧

Entry is free, with donations warmly welcomed throughout the day in support of *Team Endeavour*.

Please allow extra time for parking and, if you live locally in Alton, please consider walking where possible.

Alton Lions Club Gets New Storage Facility

A big shout out and thank you goes to Wayne and his team at ‘The Place 4 Self Storage’ on Mill Lane in Alton for providing some welcome storage capacity for Alton Lions Club.

Their generous gift will allow the club to securely store all our event and activity equipment in a single location for the first time!

This solves an ongoing problem that has, up to now. seen our Lions branded items and other equipment stored in various members sheds and garages - well mainly Mike Bakers, for many years.

So, with 7 day access it means we can easily collect and return equipment all year round for all our events and activities.
