That's what one of our members told us about why the weekly Hub matters. For so many older people, one morning a week is the difference between isolation and belonging.

The Healing Hubs started in December 2022 as a single weekly meeting place. Today, our hubs and sheltered housing sessions bring people together every week, over a cup of tea, a quiz, a chat, simply to be with others.

Here's what our members tell us:

💬 "I feel like I belong again, instead of moping over my husband."
💬 "I was apprehensive, but once I started coming, I felt very comfortable and welcome."
💬 "I always feel happy being here, no matter what is going on in my life."
💬 "Fantastic, made really nice friends and met some really interesting people."
💬 "I feel good when Monday comes around and I go to my club."

For many of our members, many in their 80s and 90s, many living with early-stage dementia, depression, or the isolation of sheltered housing, this is their only regular social contact all week.

We're not just filling a morning. We're giving people a reason to get up, get dressed, and be part of something. A friend to call. A place to belong.

That's the quiet, powerful work of connection, and it's why we do what we do.
