Update from NPA.

Great to get together as a show committee today to discuss recent changes to show requirements following the recent NPA AGM.

Biggest changes include:
- new mandatory vaccinations
- changes to biosecurity checks
- possible isolation periods for show teams

The National Pigeon Association GB are meeting with Defra on 6th of March and will hopefully have further updates for us.
A big thank you to Rikki Conway for sharing the information discussed at the AGM.

We hope to keep you all updated on changes once things are more set in stone!

Despite checking all exhibitor’s boxes at the end of today’s show, a Bronze Show Roller Adult hen belonging to Thomas McGowan remains missing.

‼️ 🔔 SHOW UPDATE 🔔 ‼️

We have received a few messages regarding warnings issued by APHA about bird movement to prevent the spread of bird flu.

We are covered by a licence that allows gatherings unless we fall within a protection or surveillance zone therefore our show is STILL GOING AHEAD. At the moment there are no confirmed cases of bird flu in Scotland so we are hopeful we will not be contacted to cancel before Saturday.

In the event of show cancellation we will post first on this page before then making attempts to contact all exhibitors on the phone number provided on entry forms.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday. 🐦
