⏰ November is getting closer!

Which means our first-ever Regional Team gatherings are getting closer too!

If you’ve been thinking, “I really should book onto that…” – this is your little nudge.

These gatherings are a chance to come together with other Messy Church teams in your region, share ideas and stories, pray, encourage one another and help shape what regional support for Messy Church could look like.

We’d love as many Messy Church people as possible to be part of this first gathering.

Meet the writer!

October's session in Get Messy! Vol. 4 was written by Andrew Pearson. Andrew has been on his local Messy Church team for over ten years. He leads musical worship in his church and serves on its leadership team. As a retired head teacher, he has devised numerous assemblies and has written material for all-age services and children's groups - he loves creating activities and challenges for Messy families to enjoy together.

As we approach Halloween, why not give Andrew's social action idea a try and provide light in the darkness with a hot chocolate giveaway?

The Messy Church team will be at Hand in Hand Conference again this year, hosting a network lunch for all involved or dreaming about intergenerational ministry - so come along and join in wherever you are on your all age journey!
We'll have a presence in the 'expo area' with Parenting For Faith - BRF so we'd love to see you there and look forward to having a catch-up about all things Messy ☺

Messy Xtra in Sandal, Wakefield are the latest 🚀Messy Momentum pilot to welcome Sophie earlier this week. Focusing on the theme of Compassion and looking at the story of Ruth, the group spent time all together around the dinner table chatting through what being compassionate looks like for us, followed by games, activities, and more tasty treats - we gleaned our own grain from the edges of the room to make popcorn! - to explore our learning more interactively. Sophie had great thoughts to take away, and loved the time and space to share laughter and faith eveyone 😊

It's so good to gather with Messy Church friends from around the world!

Jane and Aike explored the Palm house at Kew Gardens with Johannah Myers (Messy Church USA) and Jean Pienaar (South Africa, currently in UK).

As we stood in awe of giant palm trees, we reflected on Psalm 92:12-14 'The righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like the cedars of Lebanon. They are like trees planted in the house of the Lord, that flourish in the Temple of our God, that still bear fruit in old age and are always green and strong.' GNT

It was great to hear stories of how Messy Church is flourishing in other parts of the world.
