Aberdeen Model Railway Club Martin Cheshire and Donald Reid formed Aberdeen Model Railway Club in 1972.

The First Club premises was the billiard room in Martin’s House in Cults. Over time the club grew steadily with a group who covered all the scales available to railway modellers. By 1975 the club was exhibiting layouts locally and as a member of the Association of model Railway Societies in Scotland at various locations outwith Aberdeen. Layouts being exhibited included those built by the club as well as those belonging to individual club members. As the club grew premises were always an issue and the club has moved several times before ending up in its present location at Ferryhill under the umbrella of the heritage trust in the neighbouring shed. The club runs its own exhibition in Aberdeen each October as well as attending others in Scotland throughout the year. The club has something to offer members at all levels of the hobby and after 40 years of loyal membership can still count on its founding members within its ranks.

A big thanks first of all to all our Traders, Layouts, Societies who brought some brilliant stands to the show.

Secondly to The Bus Collection at Alford for Supplying and operating a free Heritage bus service throughout the full weekend in the various weathers we had.

Thirdly to Curl Aberdeen for giving us someone where to put the show that kept us safe from the elements to run the show, supplying some really fine bakes, Bacon rolls, sandwiches, coffees and soup to keep not only our Exhibition manger but all Exhibitors and you the public supplied for the day at the show.

And Last but Certainly not least. Every single person who attended and supported the show. Especially braving the winds and rain over the weekend. Then again it's Aberdeen we are talking about so just the norm! But seriously thank you for continuing to support it.

Now it's time for a rest but not for long as we attend Elgin Model Railway Club's Exhibition in a couple weeks time!
We hope to see you there, other shows and everywhere else!
Perhaps even at the clubrooms!

First day of the show done! Tomorrow is still to come! We are aware of the adverse conditions and continue to monitor it over the day tomorrow. Remember folks clocks go back tonight so an extra hour of sleep for you all 💤. All indoors show, great cafe on site, heritage bus running into town and back, free parking on site. What more could you want for the last day before going back to school!

Aberdeen Curling Centre, Curl Aberdeen, Eday Walk, Aberdeen AB156LN. Free parking is available on site for the duration of the weekend.
When?
Our Exhibition will take place on the last full weekend of October. Saturday 24th from 10am - 5pm and Sunday 25th from 10am - 4pm
Admission
Adults - £8.00
Children - £4.00 (under 16)
Family - £20.00 (2 Adults + Up to 2 Children)
Under 3s - FREE
Transport?
Aberdeen Curling Centre has transport links from Aberdeen City Centre. First Bus operates service 23. Stagecoach operates service 218. All of these services will stop at Springhill Road bus stop less than a 5 min walk from the Curl Centre. All traveling by rail can alight at Aberdeen and find bus connections from Union Street and Union Square bus station both less than a 10 min walk from the train station.

HERITAGE BUS FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE!
We are happy to announce that the Heritage Bus from Union Terrace garden to Curl Aberdeen will be running for both days of the event supplied kindly by the The Bus Collection at Alford once again.
This service is completely FREE for anyone to travel on giving you the oppertunity to ride on some of Aberdeen's heritage transport.
Timetable and Bus Allocation will be confirmed nearer to the show weekend
