From the hills of Scotland to the slopes of Kilimanjaro - the challenge ahead is becoming very real for Matt!
Every training climb, every early start, and every tough session is building towards something much bigger than reaching a summit. Matt is taking on this challenge to raise funds for Aberdeen Foyer and to help support people across the North East to build brighter, more stable futures.
Kilimanjaro will test resilience, determination, and endurance at every stage, but Matt continues to put in the work with real commitment and purpose.
As the landscape changes from familiar Scottish trails to the mountain he’ll soon face, we’re reminded that every big journey starts with small steps, consistency, and the support of others along the way.
If you’re able to support Matt with a donation, now is the perfect time. Every contribution will help make a real difference to the people and communities we work alongside every day.

Could Your Community Project Benefit from Extra Hands, Fresh Ideas & Community Spirit?
We’re looking for community projects across Aberdeen for future King’s Trust and REACH teams to support as part of their community projects.
During the programme, participants work together to plan and deliver a project that creates a positive impact in the local community. Teams come from a range of backgrounds and experiences, united by a shared goal of building confidence, developing skills, and making a difference. 💙
Both the King’s Trust and REACH programmes will run dedicated two-week community projects, with teams partnering alongside local organisations to bring ideas to life.
Even better - the teams will organise fundraising activities to help towards project costs, meaning there is no cost to your organisation.
We’d love to hear from:
✨ Community groups
✨ Charities
✨ Local organisations
✨ Projects supporting people or places in the city
✨ Community spaces needing a refresh or helping hand
This is a fantastic opportunity to work together, strengthen community connections, and create something meaningful for the people of Aberdeen. 🌍
If you have a project idea or would like to find out more, please get in touch!
