Kicking off Day 1 of the BLUEPRINT EU Project General Assembly meeting!

After a warm welcome from the Project Coordinator, Dr. Stylianos Karatzas of the University of Patras, the NeuroLandscape team participated in a collaborative workshop with project partners to identify stakeholders' impact and influences on the co-design frameworks of the pilot sites.

Balla (Ireland), Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), Athens (Greece), Budapest (Hungary), and Benetutti (Italy) are the five cities serving as pilot sites and will benefit from planned interventions tailored to their specific needs and objectives.

Best of luck to our team and the rest of the 22 partners!

NeuroLandscape is proud to have contributed to the recent report, "Brain Science, Brain Economy, AI and Human Flourishing on a Flourishing Planet."

With this contribution and our ongoing research, we hope to play a significant role in shaping the post-SDG agenda for global sustainability by focusing on ways that humans and nature can flourish together while navigating the impacts of the built environment.

As part of our work on the GreenInCities Project, we present our soon-to-be published "Assessing Hearts and Minds in Nature: a Scoping Review and Critical Evaluation of Psychophysiological Approaches". ❤️🧠🌳

In this paper, we attempt to assess the current knowledge of the physiological signatures of various types of nature exposure. This review scans through hundreds of scientific publications to expose the gaps in knowledge regarding nature connection and its health benefits.

Most importantly, it gave us an overview of biomarkers to use in our Neurourbanism Assessment Methodology that we've been developing within this project.

We congratulate the authors David O'Reilly, Anastasia Kokkinou and Agnieszka Olszewska-Guizzo for their work on this insightful paper.

NeuroLandscape is proud to be part of the international SchoolChanger project, funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021–2027.

This project promotes mental health and well-being among students by transforming schools into supportive, engaging, and inclusive environments through design.

Within the project, NeuroLandscape will conduct a neuroscience study to understand how existing school environments influence students’ emotions, identity formation, and sense of belonging, including which design components (indoor or outdoors) are best.

💚 Earth Day 2025: Our Power, Our Planet 💚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This , our team reflected on the theme “Our Power, Our Planet” 💪 with appreciation for the world we share. Though the official day has passed, our commitment to environmental advocacy, both as a team and in our personal work, continues.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We asked our team to choose one word that embodies their personal connection to our planet and inspire their daily advocacy work:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our CEO Agnieszka Olszewska-Guizzo chose “Wonder,” finding awe in nature’s complexity and the delicate systems that sustain life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our Media Officer and Research Assistant Annetta Benzar picked “Meraki,” which our Greek-speakers will know means something special, putting soul and creativity into your every day creations, in this case, environmental solutions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our newest team member, Research Fellow, David O’ Reilly, felt the word “Invigorate” resonated with his work. This choice fits well with his positive attitude, encouraging and energizing our research community to face challenges with renewed purpose.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ghieth Alkhateeb, Sustainable Development, Equity Advocate, our Graphic superstar and the artist behind the visuals of this post, chose “Flourish,” a message to creating conditions where both ecosystems and innovations can thrive in a world that is hurting.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Weronika Gąsior, our Gender Equality Officer, wanted to wish our community to find joy in the beauty of our natural world and its preservation and so her word was “Delight.” A delightful message for sure!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And finally, our Singapore Nature-Based Solutions Advisor Claudia Tan, chose a word that we all need right now. “Nurture.” Caring for our selves, our communities and our planet with the same compassion and dedication we bring to our research.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These words don’t just reflect our values, they drive our actions at
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤔 What word would you choose to represent your commitment to our shared home?

✔️ You will record short sessions wearing the headset outside in a designated area & at home over a period of 5 days
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️ You will share your experience via a simple app
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️ And complete a lifestyle & well-being questionnaire
