We engage older adults in trishaw rides to improve the health and emotional well-being of both our volunteer cycle pilots and passengers. We dream of creating a world together, in which the access to active citizenship creates happiness among our fellow elderly citizens by providing them with an opportunity to remain an active part of society and the local community. We do that by giving them the right to wind in their hair, the right to experience the city and nature close up from the bicycle and by giving them an opportunity to tell their story in the environment where they have lived their lives. That way we build bridges between generations and we reinforce trust, respect and the social glue in our society.

150 people from 20 countries recently came to Budapest for three days to participate in the Cycling Without Age International Summit. We had so much to share and we met to be inspired and to show support for every single person involved.

At the summit, we were reminded that we are stronger together and that we will keep working for the Right to Wind in Your Hair.

Biciklivel Kortalanul Magyarország and Founder Angéla Gui were honoured today by the presence of the Lord Mayor of Budapest Karácsony Gergely, the Minister of Social and Family Affairs Dr. Kátai-Németh Vilmos as well as the Minister of Transport and Investment, Vitézy Dávid. Hungary is leading the way for more intergenerational trishaw rides, inclusive cycling and intergenerational meetings
