I am grateful to join the 37th Biennial Assembly of the National United Methodist Women’s Society of Christian Service (NUMWSCS) at Shepherd’s Palace Garden & Resort in Dalayap, Candaba, Pampanga, for its Closing Worship and Commitment Service (October 17, 2026)

Today, I was grateful to spend time with our brothers and sisters in the East Pampanga District during their Workers’ Meeting. It was a meaningful time to share struggles, victories, questions, and the grace that continues to sustain us in ministry.

I was reminded, and reminded them as well, that 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩; 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘴. May we continue to serve not only with competence, but with faith, love, humility, and courage. 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙨.

Thus, as United Methodists, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples in their victories and, more importantly, in their struggles.

The UMC in the Philippines stands in solidarity with Indigenous peoples as they defend their rights, protect their ancestral lands, and uphold human dignity.

Hindi hadlang ang ulan! 🌧️

Ulan man o araw, sama-sama tayong patuloy na maglilingkod. 🙏

It is an honor to work for and alongside women, in the Philippines and across our global connection. 💜

Together, we continue to create spaces where women are heard, empowered, affirmed, and given room to lead and transform the world. ✨

The work of GCSRW would not be possible without our amazing Regional Conference partners! We give thanks for Bishop Estrella and Jenn Ferariza-Meneses, two GCSRW Board members, who do so much to help further our mission and mandate in the Philippines!
