START Munich

START Munich, founded in 2003, is Munich's largest student initiative for entrepreneurship.

With 250 members, it offers events, workshops, and a community to help students, from beginners to experienced founders, turn ideas into successful ventures. STARTmunich ist eine unabhängige studentische Initiative an der TU München. Seit 2003 fördert unser Verein unternehmerisches Denken, bietet ein internationales Netzwerk und erleichtert den Zugang zur Startup-Welt für Studenten. Unser Ziel ist

Bei der STARTuptour besuchen Mitglieder innovative Startups und lernen dabei deren Herausforderungen und innovative Arbeitsmethoden kennen. Erfolgreiche Gründer und Investoren vermitteln durch Fallstudien und Tipps praktische Fähigkeiten über die Existenzgründung während des STARTworkshop. Beim STARTpitch pitchen Early-Stage Startups ihre Geschäftsidee vor einer renommierten Jury und einem begeisterten Publikum. Mitglieder entwickeln bei STARTwithIdeas regelmäßig ihre Startup-Ideen gemeinsam weiter.

𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 🌱

START Sprint is a 𝟰-𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 where students develop a startup idea from scratch, moving step by step from problem understanding to solution development. This first week, our new batch kicked things off with two foundational workshops.

🔍 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

Hosted at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH for Entrepreneurship at HM Munich, led by Almira Selin Kahya, participants immersed themselves in the user perspective, developed personas, identified real needs and pain points, and reframed challenges into clear, actionable problem statements. Beyond the frameworks, the batch also got to know each other and formed the teams they will work with throughout the Sprint.

💡 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

Led by Sebastian Schuon, MD of Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM), co-founder of Stylight (€80M exit) and Alasco, and founder of Schub, a Munich-based venture builder. Sebastian shared firsthand how he approaches ideation and startup building. Afterwards, teams came together for their first brainstorming sessions and started identifying the problems they want to tackle during the Sprint.

What happens when you put 100 students over one weekend in one room and let them hack? 🚀

You get 24 hours full of ambition, creativity, caffeine, legal chaos, breakthrough ideas, new friendships and some of the smartest minds from law, tech and business building solutions that actually matter.

That was .
450+ applications. 94 selected participants. One intense weekend at .muenchen City Campus.

From AI-powered compliance tools to legal innovation prototypes, the energy in the room was unreal. But what made this weekend truly special was the community behind it.

At START Munich, we believe the best ideas happen when ambitious people come together, challenge each other and build beyond their comfort zone. Seeing participants collaborate until 4am, mentors genuinely invested in teams and strangers becoming friends within hours reminded us exactly why we do this.

Together with our incredible co-organizers and , partners and sponsors, we created more than just a hackathon — we created a space where innovation, curiosity and community met.
