START Munich

Wegbeschreibung Website

START Munich, founded in 2003, is Munich's largest student initiative for entrepreneurship.

With 250 members, it offers events, workshops, and a community to help students, from beginners to experienced founders, turn ideas into successful ventures.

𝐌𝐨𝐦, 𝐈 𝐀𝐦 𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐧: 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡
— 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩! 💙

When Cher’s mom told her to marry a rich man, she famously replied: “Mom, I am a rich man.” And that’s exactly the energy we brought to Munich last night. ✨

A room full of ambitious women, honest conversations, fresh perspectives, and one big reminder: 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧.

We took over the Tacto Technology office for an evening exploring what it really means to carve out your own path in entrepreneurship.

🎤 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬
From founding startups to venture capital and Chief of Staff roles, our speakers shared the decisions, challenges, lessons, and unexpected turns that shaped their careers. Including the orange flags VCs actually look out for. 👀

💬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬
Less small talk, more real talk. Smaller groups, bigger questions, and the chance to connect with our speakers beyond the stage.

A HUGE thank you to our incredible speakers Lea Frank, Pheline Huber, Marla Rinne, Stella Xu, and Viola Paszkiewicz for sharing their stories and inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs. 💙

And of course, a massive thank you to Tacto for opening your doors to us!

🎁 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓!
Together with The Monument Design, we’re giving away phone cases! The lucky winner will be announced this Friday. Stay tuned! 👀

To everyone who joined us: thank you for making this evening what it was.

𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡. 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬. 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬.

See you at the next one! 🚀

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬. 🍿

The pitch that went horribly wrong.
The investor who ghosted.
The co-founder breakup that deserved its own Netflix documentary.

Because let's face it: LinkedIn has enough success stories already.

🎤 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐋 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐕𝐎𝐋. 𝟔 𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊!

We're bringing founders on stage to talk about everything that didn't make it into their LinkedIn announcements.

Bad decisions, spectacular failures, questionable life choices, and the lessons that came with them.

No motivational TED Talks. No "failure was actually my biggest success" speeches. Just founders spilling the tea. ☕️

👀 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐩? We're keeping that a secret for now. Stay tuned for our speaker reveals!

And once they've exposed themselves enough, it's YOUR turn. Our open stage is waiting for your own entrepreneurial disasters (or character development arcs).

📍 Lost Weekend, Munich
🗓 Tuesday, October 13
🕗 20:00 onwards

Come for the founder lore. Stay for the drinks, the networking, and the comforting realization that nobody really knows what they're doing.

𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫.

👉 Link in bio. Bring your friends (and your worst business decisions).

𝗛𝗼𝗴𝘄𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀. 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝘁, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.🫵

🎤 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
You turn "we should do a founder talk" into 200 people in a room. Hackathons, summits, workshops: if it happens, you made it happen

🤝 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀
You talk to the companies, VCs and startups that make everything else possible. Cold emails, warm handshakes, deals that actually close.

📣 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
You decide how the world sees us. Reels, posts, campaigns and the occasional caption that starts with Hogwarts.

🫂 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲
You're the reason people join and the reason they stay. Recruiting, onboarding and the socials that brings the people together, basically the common room, but you built it.

⚙️ 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 & 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
You build the backbone of START Munich: the tools, processes and data everything runs on. Without you, none of the other departments would get very far.

𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀.
But nobody's competing for the house cup here. Every department works toward the same goal: building Munich's strongest community of students who dare, build, and belong.
