Das Referat für Umwelt ist Teil der studentischen Vertretung der TU München. Wir setzen uns für Umwel Mit Vorträgen u.a.

Die Ringvorlesung Umwelt ist eine interdisziplinäre, öffentliche Vortragsreihe des Umweltreferats der Studentischen Vertretung der TU München. aus den Bereichen Technischer Umweltschutz, Gesundheit, Verbraucher- und Klimaschutz bietet sie seit 1985 ein interessantes Vortragsprogramm mit wechselnden Referentinnen und Referenten. Dabei bietet sie sowohl Studierenden und Lehrenden der TU München als

auch der außeruniversitären Öffentlichkeit die Möglichkeit, sich auf wissenschaftlichem Niveau über aktuelle ökologische Themen und Forschungsergebnisse zu informieren. Die ReferentInnen aus Forschung, Verbänden, Behörden, Naturschutzverbänden und Unternehmen stehen nach dem Vortrag gerne für Fragen aus dem Publikum zur Verfügung. Mittlerweile gehört die Ringvorlesung Umwelt zum festen Vorlesungsangebot der TU und wird von der Leitung der TU München, der Carl-von-Linde-Akademie und der KHG der TU München unterstützt.

Environmental Lecture Series : AI:World Maps, Intelligence and Parrots 🤖🦜

We’re kicking off this semester’s Environmental Lecture Series with a fascinating talk by Michael Schmidt, who explores the blurred line between true intelligence and sophisticated parroting in today’s AI systems.

They’ll be leading the Environmental Lecture Series for the winter term, moderating inspiring discussions on how our choices shape the world ahead. Together with the team, they’ll guide you throughout the semester.

Submit your idea for the TUM Sustainability Day 2026!

On Wednesday, 29 April, 2026, the next TUM Sustainability Day will take place at the Garching Campus. This day is envisioned as a "Sustainability Festival" that informs, inspires and entertains.
We want to celebrate the many ideas and people committed to sustainability and demonstrate the diversity of all activities at TUM in the field of sustainability. To achieve this, contributions are welcome from all three areas – people, planet, and profit. Your ideas will help TUM to bring this vision to life!

Mit diesen Fragen beschäftigt sich der Mobilitäts.Wende.Kongress an der Technischen Universität München. Mit verschiedenen Vorträgen, Filmen, Podiumsdiskussionen und einem Kulturdialog spannen wir einen Bogen von der Kritik zum Aktivwerden. Komm in den Austausch mit unterschiedlichen Klimainitiativen und Künstler*innen oder schnappe einfach nur neue Informationen auf! Wir wollen uns von positiven Beispielen inspirieren und zum eigenen Handeln anregen lassen.

The Real Face of Plastic Packaging

In tomorrow’s lecture, we will take a closer look at plastic packaging, which has become an integral part of our daily lives. Although it may seem like a “success story” due to its low cost, light weight, and durability, its impact on nature is much greater than we think.

In the lecture, we will address these questions:
-Who is responsible for this plastic packaging flood?
-Is plastic really that bad?
-What can we, as consumers, do?

Let’s not only ask the questions but also find the solutions together!
