Windsor-Essex Pride Fest (WEPF) is an incorporated not-for-profit organization in the Province of Ontario. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, WEPF brings together members of the Two Spirit, Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Q***r, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual (2SLGBTQIA+) community, their friends, allies and supporters in celebration of the unique spirit and culture of our community by

providing advocacy and producing inclusive and safe events, initiatives and social programs. WEPF strengthens the sense of community and contribute to the vibrancy, health and overall well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in Windsor-Essex.

Since its humble beginning as a small march of about 100 people in Windsor back in 1992, the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest has become one of our community’s most anticipated cultural attractions. Our organization provides many social programs, activities and events in Windsor-Essex that raise awareness of ongoing challenges that still exist including discrimination, exclusion, harassment, assault and many more.

This year, we are proud and excited to announce that the 2026 Windsor-Essex Pride Fest will be held July 31 to August 9, 2026. From July 31 – August 6, 2026, we will have events at various locations throughout Windsor-Essex and from August 7-9, 2026 we will be at our home in Lanspeary Park on Ottawa Street for the main festival. Favourites such as our official Flag Raising at City Hall, educational work-shops, live entertainment, local retail vendor marketplace, local food vendors, family friendly activities and of course, the annual Pride Fest Parade for all to enjoy!

Our festival is an explosion of Pride in the heart of the Windsor, attracting approximately 7,500 people in a celebration of diversity. Through this we aim to promote a sentiment in favour of equality, uniting people in a celebrative atmosphere where all are welcome, and fostering a sense of community within the Windsor-Essex 2SLGBTQIA+ population.

We have made some really amazing, positive changes for our volunteer program this year and we ask for you to take a look at our new volunteer page.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, welcoming and thoughtful volunteers for the annual Windsor-Essex Pride Festival as well as for our year-round social programs and initiatives.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Windsor-Essex Pride Fest; everything we do is done through the hard work of volunteers including our Board of Directors. 2026 ENTERTAINMENT APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

What would the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest be without entertainment? Definitely a lot less fun, that’s for sure!

Windsor-Essex Pride Fest is accepting expressions of interest from artists and performers who would like to take part in our annual festival in August and our year-round events.
Only those who complete an application will be considered so please be sure to submit all of the requested information when submitting your application.
