After an unforgettable Brave Day weekend, we just want to say thank you. 🫶

To every participant, family member, friend, volunteer, sponsor, vendor, partner, and supporter, THANK YOU for being part of something truly special.

This weekend brought unexpected challenges with heavy rain, strong winds, delays, and some rescheduling. But through it all, what stood out most was the incredible strength, patience, positivity, and kindness shown by our wonderful community.

To every participant who stepped over the edge despite the conditions, your courage inspired everyone around you. Watching you rappel through the wind and rain was a powerful reminder of the strength that can be created when people come together for something bigger than themselves.

To the families, friends, and supporters cheering from below, waiting through delays, adjusting plans, and some even returning the next day, THANK YOU for being there to support your loved ones and for helping create such an encouraging and uplifting atmosphere all weekend long.

A routine mammogram changed everything for Christina Bonadonna-Jones. Since her breast cancer diagnosis, she’s faced surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and ongoing treatment with courage, positivity, and the support of those around her.

Chris Pestru is used to running toward emergencies as a Windsor firefighter. But after suffering a seizure at home, he suddenly found himself facing the unknown.

A CT scan revealed a brain tumour, and within days, Chris underwent surgery.

Now, as a 2026 Show Us Your Brave Ambassador, Chris is sharing his story to remind others: don’t wait to get checked.
