World Refugee Day 2026

Join Matthew House and our Windsor-Essex community partners as we celebrate World Refugee Day with the theme:

“The Right to Seek Safety – It Was Meant for All of Us.”

This free community event is open to everyone. Come together with friends, neighbours, newcomers, and community organizations as we honour the strength, resilience, and dignity of refugees and newcomers who enrich our community every day.

World Refugee Day is an opportunity to recognize the courage of those forced to flee their homes and to reaffirm our commitment to building a welcoming community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
