Sessions, Morning 10:30 am and then 1PM, In our Whitby Office Children will receive an Orange shirt to wear Sept 30th to School and a the story book “With our orange Hearts” is one of the best versions of a Truth and reconciliation story.

I LOVE These.

Bannock Cinnamon Rolls.

Ingredients:

3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons baking powder
¼ cup melted butter
1 ½ cups of water
cinnamon sugar and margarine
raisins (optional)

Instructions:

1. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
2. Add in melted butter and water to mixture.
3. Knead gently for 10 minutes (¼ – ½ inches think)
4. Spread margarine on top of dough and sprinkle cinnamon sugar and raisins as you want.
5. Roll dough and cut to fit to bottom of Dutch oven.
6. Grease bottom of Dutch oven with oil.
7. Cook until done (checking every 5 or so minutes after 10 minutes).

8. Enjoy!

All Region 8 MNO Citizens (residing within Oshawa & Durham Region Métis Council, Toronto & York Region Métis Council or Credit River Métis Council) are invited to join us for an inspiring evening as we come together virtually to honour the Powleys' and our fight for Métis rights. We'll watch a powerful documentary that highlights the story and impact of the Powley case, followed by a fun and interactive Powley Trivia game where you can test your knowledge and learn something new!
