mmer weekend! For those who continually join us, THANK YOU for your contribution to our success. The Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise and its many volunteers put together the biggest outdoor event that Whitby has ever seen! To each and every volunteer, THANK YOU for all the tireless hours of hard work and dedication. The Durham Region community came together to support this amazing event. A huge THANK YOU goes out to the many sponsors, supporters and vendors that contributed to the overall success. With the success of this event, The Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise is thrilled to be able provide support to both local community projects and international initiatives...which is the sole purpose of our goals as Rotarians. Construction of gazebos at Rotary Sunrise Lake Park and Fairview Lodge
Creation of the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame
Hosting of Rotary Youth Exchange students from around the world
Donation of scholarships for local high school students
Support for the Sunrise Youth Group
Provision of “Smart Walkers” to enable children with muscular dystrophy to walk
Development work in the Dominican Republic including the provision of bio-sand water filters, playground equipment, medical and school supplies and the construction of classrooms at the La Loma adult training school
Participation in Rotary International’s campaign to end polio

As the tents come down, the stages are packed away, and another Whitby Ribfest comes to a close, there's only one thing left to say: thank you.

➡️ Thank you to every single person who joined us this past weekend. To the families, friends, neighbours, visitors, concert-goers, food lovers, music fans, and community supporters who spent part of their weekend with us, thank you for making Whitby Ribfest what it is.

➡️ Thank you to our incredible volunteers. This event simply would not exist without you. From months of planning behind the scenes to early mornings, late nights, setup, teardown, parking, Kidfest, waste diversion, admissions, information booths, donation collection, and everything in between. Your dedication is the reason this event happens.

➡️ Thank you to the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise for their leadership, commitment, and countless volunteer hours spent creating an event that brings our community together while supporting important charitable causes throughout Durham Region.

➡️ Thank you to our sponsors, partners, supporters, and community organizations who help make this weekend possible year after year.

➡️ Thank you to our ribbers, food vendors, merchants, exhibitors, and marketplace vendors for bringing incredible food, unique products, and unforgettable experiences to the grounds.

➡️ Thank you to Maid Mart for helping keep the grounds clean, to our waste diversion volunteers and environmental partners for supporting our sustainability efforts, to our security teams, emergency services personnel, suppliers, contractors, logistics teams, and every individual who worked behind the scenes to keep the event running smoothly and safely.

It is the final day of Whitby Ribfest PLUS, and it’s a good one. 🔥

Kidfest is back from 12 - 5pm, the ribbers are still going strong, and tonight The Prairie States will close out the weekend live on stage.

No need to rush today. Just good food, live music, and one more chance to take it all in. If you’re here, make it count.
