Join employers and industry professionals for a virtual discussion on labour market trends and practical workforce solutions.

This virtual workshop will begin with a labour market snapshot and future workforce outlook by Charlene Hofbauer, CEO Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin.

Followed by interactive, topic-based discussions led by moderators and sector professionals where attendees will have the opportunity to participate in breakout conversations based on their areas of interest.

Designed to foster practical peer-to-peer conversations where employers and professionals can openly share challenges, ideas, experiences, and real-world strategies for navigating today’s evolving labour market.

June brings with it many important days of reflection, recognition, and celebration.

We honour Pride Month, Seniors Month in Ontario, and National Indigenous History Month, as well as other heritage months, and also recognize important days of significance such as World Refugee Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, and Canadian Multiculturalism Day.

These observances remind us of the importance of building communities with strong foundations where everyone feels they belong. In Waterloo Region, diversity helps shape our community in many ways.

Together, we continue building a community grounded in inclusion, respect, and belonging.

We’re almost at our goal of 2,000 responses, but we still need a few more voices to ensure the data fully reflects the diversity of our communities.

If you were born outside of Canada and are currently living, working, or studying in Waterloo Region, this is your opportunity to share your experiences and help build a more inclusive community.

The survey takes about 10–20 minutes and covers topics such as education, housing, employment, health, belonging, discrimination, and community building. It is confidential and available online, with phone, email, and paper options available upon request. It is also offered in multiple languages.

More than 70 local organizations will use the results to improve programs, services, policies, and access to funding.

Immigration Partnership of Waterloo Region, alongside the International Migration Research Centre (IMRC), are inviting immigrants across Waterloo Region to share their experiences through the 2026 Immigrant Survey.

The insights collected will help inform programs, services, and initiatives that better reflect the needs of newcomers in our region. The survey takes approximately 10–20 minutes to complete and responses will be collected until May 31, 2026.
