Cards for Candy event is back! 💖💌

Stop by our booth THIS FRIDAY in SLC Marketplace anytime between 11 am - 3 pm to write a Valentine's Day message to older adults in nursing homes! Grab candy/chocolate after 🩷

💛🖤 Welcome to winter 2024 term, Warriors! 💛🖤

We are looking for a passionate and driven student to help us run this club.

As a First-year Rep, you will be responsible for:
- reaching out to incoming first year students for participation
- registering the club for various other opportunities for promotion
- offering creative ideas for our club activities
- assisting the other executives' roles when needed

If successful, you will be joining the executive team starting from February 2024 for the winter term.

UW SHS is having a bake sale on July 12 from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm in SLC Marketplace!

We are looking for volunteers to donate home baked goods for our bake sale 🤩 Sign up and fill out what baked good you'd like to donate 🍪

De-stress by baking some treats with your friends while contributing to a great initiative!

All proceeds from our bake sale will go towards future club initiatives to support older adults in the KW area 😊

Welcome to our first event of the spring term! 🌷

Drop by STC 0040 next Wednesday, June 28 to make a birthday card to a resident in the KW and have some FREE pizza too (first come first served)! 💌🍕
Help us celebrate residents' birthdays by writing a personalized message to make their day 🎂🎉

$304 was raised from the Forget-Me-Not Gala to support the Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington 💙

A huge thank you goes out to the exec teams from UW SHS, UW Rehab Sci, UW CAG Student Connection , UW Geriatric Pharmacy Club, and UW Brain Exercise Initiative for collaborating to make this Gala happen.

Special thank you to our guest speaker from Alzheimer Society WW, Robin, for coming to speak at the Gala and providing information for students on how to get involved! 💙

Huge thank you to the UW Unaccompanied Minors, Hansen, Shawn, and The Musical Interdudes for performing their talents on stage 🎶

Finally, thank you to all those who attended our Gala - this wouldn't have been possible without you! 💛🖤

We hope everyone had a fun time at the Gala! Good luck with the exams and last few weeks of co-op and stay tuned for more events 😊

They are $8 for students and $10 for non-students (staff, faculty, employees, alumni). Dinner is provided 🤩

🎶 There will also be performances and a special guest speaker so come out for a fun evening and support a great cause 🩵

When: Thursday March 23rd from 6-9pm (dinner provided!)
Where: SLC Black and Gold Room

In collaboration with UW CAG Student Connection UW Geriatric Pharmacy Club !

In collaboration with UW Greek Council & UW Canadian Association on Gerontology Student Connection, we are delighted to organize a Valentine's card making event!

How it works:
• Stop by our card making table in SLC marketplace this Thursday anytime between 2-6 pm!!
• Write a Valentine's Day for a resident in a local retirement home! Writing supplies are provided at the table.
• Receive candy when you're done!

Spread the word to your friends!! Hope to see you all this Thursday 😊
