Meet our next Member Spotlight, Hur Abbas Merchant!
Heading into his 2A term in Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Waterloo, Hur serves as the Talent Acquisition & HR Manager at 180 Degrees Consulting Waterloo, helping connect passionate students with opportunities to grow and make an impact.
When he’s not reviewing applications or supporting the team, you’ll probably find him going for a run, getting lost in a good book, while staying fuelled by his favourite energy drink. He’s also currently focused on building his personal brand on social media and enjoys creating content that reflects his journey and experiences.
🌍 Fun Fact: Hur has traveled to 15+ countries and has lived in four, giving him a unique global perspective and a love for exploring new places and cultures.
Through his role at 180DC, Hur is passionate about connecting students with opportunities to develop their skills, expand their networks, and become part of a community that helps one another grow.
