Last Wednesday, University of Waterloo Chinese Students and Scholars Association (UWCSSA) surprised us with a giant cheque for $500 from the Spring Festival Gala!! UWCSSA is a non-profit organization that serves students and scholars from the University of Waterloo and the Kitchener-Waterloo area. It’s one of the most prominent clubs for Chinese students in the region and they maintain a very strong presence at Waterloo.

We would like to send a great big THANK YOU to them for their wonderful work around University of Waterloo and in Kitchener-Waterloo.

We have had a great term and we hope that everyone aces those exams! Have a great summer, everyone!

An anonymous donor has expressed her interest in matching our donations: starting from June 17th, if Dream Corps is able to raise 10,000 RMB (~1,630 USD), then for every dollar raised she is willing to match 1 dollar. If Dream Corps is able to raise 20,000 RMB (~3,260 USD), then for every dollar raised afterwards she is willing to match 2 dollars. In order to encourage more generous friends to contribute, she will not match any one-time donations exceeding 6,000 RMB (~1,000 USD). Our donor has also indicated that she would like her donations to be used to support Dream Corps staff, hoping to help our staff to fully concentrate on the program, therefore ensuring everyone's donation to be properly used.
