Every wag, every cuddle, every second chance — volunteers make it all possible. South South Paws is looking for more amazing humans to help us save the ones who can’t ask for help themselves.
We need support in every corner: events, admin, website updates, fundraising, organizing merch — all the behind‑the‑scenes magic that keeps this rescue running.
Let us know your availability and we’ll put your superpowers exactly where they’re needed most. The dogs deserve heroes. We’ll settle for anyone with a pulse and a calendar.

On December 29th, we received a message about a dog in the Kitchener/Waterloo area living a life of neglect 💔

One of our incredible followers immediately stepped up and gave him a safe place to land while we worked to find the best possible solution 🐾✨

It was clear this sweet boy needed immediate veterinary care. With the little information we had, it was likely he had never seen a vet in his four years of life. He had been confined to a single room with access to food and water—but no time, love, or attention. He was covered in fleas and suffering from severe skin infections.

We got him to the vet right away 🩺💙 and started him on the necessary antibiotics. Thankfully, aside from his skin issues, Tucker received a clean bill of health.

In just a few short days, the sparkle returned to his eyes ✨
Dogs are truly remarkable—despite everything they endure, they hold no grudges. Once they’re safe, they know. Tucker knew his life was finally beginning again 🥹❤️

We reached out to and without hesitation, they got to work finding him the perfect foster placement. Our goal was to ensure he landed exactly where he needed to be—and they made that possible.

Tucker still needs to be neutered, and his skin will take time to fully heal, but he’s decompressing, learning who he is, and enjoying life with doggy companions 🐕🐕 He is gentle, loving, and so deserving of the full, beautiful life ahead of him.

His resilience is breathtaking 🌈
No dog should ever endure that kind of isolation when they love so endlessly and unconditionally.

This was a stress-free rescue, made possible through collaboration—and we are so grateful to partner with Golden Rescue to give Tucker the future he deserves 🤍
Working together is how we save more lives.

Because of your kindness, Saving South Paws can give rescue dogs the medical care, safe homes, and love they deserve. Every wagging tail, every second chance, every brighter tomorrow is possible because of YOU.
