odbridge Centre. We are respectful of diversity, as well as a person’s preferences, wishes and values. Today, Hospice Vaughan serves all residents living in Kleinburg, Maple, Woodbridge, parts of Concord and Thornhill.

Yesterday evening, CHV was filled with something truly special: love, laughter and celebration. ♥️

Our resident, Peter Pallotta, celebrated his 71st birthday surrounded by his family and the people he loves most. We were so grateful to welcome his family into our hospice and help make this milestone a special one. 🎉🥳

Moments like these are a beautiful reminder that hospice isn’t only a place of care at the end of life — it’s also a place where life is lived, love is shared and special moments are celebrated. ♥️🫂

The evening also included music close to Peter’s heart. Together with our Music Therapist, Victoria, Peter created the song Time Traveller in which he shared copies of with his friends and family as a special birthday gift. 🎶

Happy 71st birthday, Peter. We are honoured to celebrate you. ♥️

🎶 Ready to make some music? 🪕

Our Ukulele Music Therapy Group is a welcoming space to learn, connect, and discover the joy of making music together. ♥️

Participants will learn to play the ukulele while enjoying the benefits of music therapy in a supportive group environment.

No previous musical or ukulele experience is required! ♥️

📅 Dates: Thursdays, Sept. 24 until Oct. 22
⏰ Time: 2-3pm
📍 Location: Cortellucci Hospice Vaughan

Registration closes September 17, as space permits.

Every morning at CHV starts with something made with care. ♥️

Our Hospitality Coordinator, Patrizia, and our incredible volunteers work together to prepare fresh, homemade breakfasts for our residents, along with freshly baked treats and coffee for families, visitors and everyone who walks through our doors. 🍳🥓🍲🍰

From a warm breakfast to start the day to a fresh cup of coffee shared with a loved one, these little moments of comfort can mean so much.🫂

Because at CHV, caring for our residents goes beyond medical care. It’s about creating a warm, welcoming environment where each person feels supported, cared for and at home. ♥️

A special thank you to Patrizia and our dedicated volunteers for putting so much heart into every meal and every morning for our clients. 🥰

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of bringing our CHV volunteer family together for a Volunteer Meet & Greet! 🎉

Hosted by our Volunteer Coordinator, Inna, the day was a wonderful opportunity for new and returning volunteers to meet, connect, share experiences and learn more about some of the exciting volunteer initiatives ahead. ♥️

We’re incredibly grateful for each and every one of our volunteers and the kindness, compassion and care they bring through our doors. Your support makes a meaningful difference to our residents, families and the entire CHV team. 😊🫂

🌌✨ Grief Through a Cosmic Lens on York Universe!

Our Music Therapist/Grief and Supportive Care Counsellor, Victoria, joined Robin Metcalfe, Associate Dean from York University’s Faculty of Science, on York Universe to explore the connection between grief, remembrance and the night sky. ♥️

In the podcast episode Death and Life Under the Stars, Victoria reflects on an important question: If a named star isn’t visible to the naked eye, does that make it less meaningful?

For Victoria, the meaning isn’t necessarily in seeing the star, but in knowing that among billions of stars, there is one uniquely connected to the person we love. Just as there will only ever be one of them, there is one star carrying their name — a small, symbolic reminder of what makes their place in our lives irreplaceable ⭐🫂

A beautiful conversation about grief, connection and finding meaning in the universe. A beautiful ending to our star gazing event and workshop series.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Woodbridge Village Farmers’ Market on July 25 and August 22! ♥️

Community outreach is so important to us, and we loved having the opportunity to connect with local residents, share more about CHV, and chat with so many wonderful market-goers.
