🇮🇹 From CityTV personalities to community members, politicians, and even our very own Mayor... everyone was stopping by the Lazio Federation of Ontario booth to find their hometown and pin the map of Italy!

Young and old, people gathered around sharing stories, tracing family roots, and discovering connections to places they haven't visited in years—or have always dreamed of visiting.

And yes... we may have had to give the Mayor a little help finding his town. 😜📍

That's the magic of being Italian. No matter where life takes us, we always know where our story began.🇮🇹❤️

🇮🇹😂 Meet Emily, 17 years old and proudly Calabrese.

I found her doing what every seasoned Festa D'Italia attendee does best... collecting free stuff from every booth in sight. 🤌

She told me her favourite part of the festival was the music, so naturally I challenged her to a little Italian music trivia.
Let's just say... it did not go according to plan. 😆

No points were awarded, but she was an absolute sweetheart and a great sport about it.

Sometimes the best interviews aren't the ones with the right answers... they're the ones that make you smile.

Yesterday at our annual Festa di Maggio luncheon for the Pescosolido (Frosinone) community… it hit me again—this isn’t just tradition, it’s identity.

The stories, the laughter, the pride… this is how we keep our culture alive.

It was a pleasure to attend The Butterfly Effect Inaugural Spring Gala 2026 along with several of my Lazio Federation Of Ontario Board members. 🦋 It was a lively evening. It was great to learn about this new charitable organization, and it was nice running into other friends and meeting new ones too! 🎉 An evening of organ donation awareness. Thank you Emily Fusco and family in providing this awareness.

The Boville Social Club dinner dance… let me paint the picture 🇮🇹✨

It starts with espresso…
Turns into antipasto that could feed a small village…
Then pasta (obviously)…
Then more food… because nobody trusts that you’ve eaten enough yet.

The music kicks in 🎶
Nonni are dancing …
Someone’s zia is telling you to eat more…
Someone’s uncle is pouring you another glass whether you asked or not 🍷

There’s laughter, loud conversations, hands flying in the air,
stories from back home… and somehow you feel like family even if it’s your first time there.

This isn’t just a dinner dance.
It’s culture. It’s community. It’s that unapologetic Italian energy.

And yes… I brought the mic 🎤
Because these are the moments that deserve to be seen, heard, and remembered.
