A huge thank you to everyone from Trenton United Church Community Lunch who joined us in the garden this week! 🫶
It was wonderful to spend the morning working together, and we're so happy that the freshly harvested vegetables will be used for their Community Lunch. Partnerships like these celebrate our vision of growing not just food, but also growing community. 💚

65 lbs of garlic harvested! 🧄

Our garlic is now hanging in the shed to cure. Once it's fully cured, some will be donated to help feed our community, while the rest will be saved to plant this fall for next year's harvest. 🌱

**Fun fact:** Freshly harvested garlic becomes even more flavourful as it cures. What's your favourite recipe that lets fresh garlic shine?

A huge thank you to Eco Mulch for their generous donation of woodchips to Quinte West Gardens – Growing Community!

Yesterday, our amazing volunteers picked up the woodchips and spent the morning spreading a fresh layer between the raised garden beds. The new mulch will help suppress weeds and keep the walkways looking their best.

We are so grateful for the support of EcoMulch and for the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. 💚
