🩸 Behind the Scenes with Canadian Blood Services!

We had the opportunity to tour Canadian Blood Services and get a closer look at the incredible journey behind every blood donation from the moment someone rolls up their sleeve to the work that happens behind the scenes to help ensure blood products reach patients who need them.

A big thank you to the Canadian Blood Services team for welcoming us, sharing their knowledge, and showing us the impact donors make every single day.

Juneteenth Statement from TAIBU Community Health Centre

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honours the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black communities across the diaspora.

Juneteenth reminds us that while freedom was won through struggle, the work of achieving equity and justice continues. Systemic anti-Black racism still impacts health, education, housing, employment, and opportunity for many in our communities.

As we reflect on this day, we are reminded of the importance of standing together, supporting one another, investing in Black-led organizations, uplifting community leaders, and rallying behind those working every day to advance equity and justice.

At TAIBU, we remain committed to building healthier, stronger, and more connected Black communities.

This Sunday, April 19th, we’re hosting a workshop focused on Black men’s mental health and wellness.

Join us for an open discussion on depression, anxiety, and mental health — including common signs and symptoms, and the myths and stigmas that often get in the way.

All men are welcome. The space is open to all whether you’re a youth or have officially reached unc status. Whether you’re looking for support or have experiences and insights to share, this is your space to share.
