The Annual Event at the Historic Guild Inn has ended for another year.
We are very grateful for and to Organizers Paul Ainslie and his Team for EVERYTHING you have done. for ALL that they did to make this event a Success.
Guild Alive was about Artists from all across Scarborough, coming together to show their Amazing Talents. It was also a chance for me to talk to the other Arts and Cultural groups, showing our support to them and telling them of the ongoing plans for the Children's Theater -
Fundraising takes many forms. Our Amazing Volunteers affectionately known as "Loonies" painted faces, sung lullabyes, fought off killer black flies and had a ball. We fundraise throughout the year by Face Painting. We'll be back at it next weekend down by Ripley's Aquarium of Canada.
Our first production will be an Adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz". It's a combination of the original books by Author L. Frank Baum with music from the 1939 Musical (MGM) "The Wizard of Oz" and Music from The MGM Classic "The Wiz".
While we call it "Children's Theater" we are Casting Children, Youth, Adults and Seniors. As i am fond of saying "Everyone Deserves a Place in the Spotlight". That includes members with Disabilities (any kind including Autism, CP, MS and more). And Members who for whatever reason, hasn't been able to join Arts groups due to poverty.
If there are people who have always wanted to Perform live on Stage, we want to make that happen.
Stay tuned for further informaiton.
For now, a few photos of our Fundraising Team "The Balloonatics!" in Action.
Thank you And the Arts Community, for their support.
