In the heart of Regent Park, where neighbourhood change is constant, local businesses continue to adapt while staying rooted in community. Café Zuzu—now Café Zuzu Pizzeria—has been part of this neighbourhood for the past three years, serving as both a gathering place and a community partner.
This year brought major changes for the café. Zuzu launched a new evening pizzeria program, expanding beyond its daytime café model to meet growing demand from local residents. At the same time, the business faced an unexpected setback when a car crash damaged its storefront, forcing the team to recover while keeping doors open and staff working.
To better understand how the business is navigating change, RPTV reporter Jabin sat down with Tyler Rutherford, Director of Business Operations for Gusto 54 and Café Zuzu Pizzeria.
