This exciting event commemorates the hard work, passion and achievements of Visions youth who are taking the next big step in their educational journeys. 🚀 We’re honoured to be part of these student’s milestone accomplishments. A celebration ceremony is in store, bringing together families, youth and staff, featuring speeches directly from graduating students.

We’re still captivated by the 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 last month! 🚀

Visions hosted an incredible day celebrating our 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 participants and grade 8 grads with the community - and the youth blew us away!

They shared their experiences at Visions and how supportive environments empower them to tackle complex STEM challenges. By fusing their skills together, these brilliant young minds pitched and presented real-world prototypes to solve problems in their communities. ✨

The winning team, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, presented Harmony Centre, an eco-friendly community space, powered by solar and wind energy, dedicated to youth mental and physical well-being. Designed to fill a gap in their community, the space would bring people together to learn, play and develop independence and confidence. 🌱

🚀 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴! Are you passionate about driving STEM Equity impact through storytelling and financial strategy?

Visions of Science is seeking a 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 to lead part of our fundraising portfolio. In addition to translating impact into strategic stories for funding proposals, the Development Manager will support cross-functional donor strategy and reporting. Directing the long-term growth and sustainability of the foundation fundraising portfolio, and nurturing partnerships with donors, this role will prepare grants that translate Vision’s work into meaningful and impactful relationships.

We recently hosted a Career Readiness Workshop for 28 of our Launch youth in grades 10 to 12, who are interested in internships and learning more about career pathways. 👩🏾‍⚕️👷🏾‍♂️👩🏿‍🚀🧑🏾‍🏭👩🏽‍🔬 Designed to support professional development, the workshop focused on identifying areas of interest, application processes and how youth can set themselves up to be stronger candidates.

Youth spent the session engaged in:
👨🏾‍💻 Exploring interests, writing their CV, and the importance of cover letters
🗣️ Discussing networking and referrals for securing opportunities more efficiently
✨ Personal brand building and curation on platforms like LinkedIn

We love seeing so many students engage in preparing for their future! 🚀

We had the pleasure of hosting Doane Grant Thorton this month for an impactful afternoon building and testing . Vision’s STEM-at-Home kits are packed with activities designed to spark curiosity and confidence in children and youth outside of the classroom through experiments in physics, kinesiology, sustainability, and engineering. 👷🏾

Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we assembled 100 STEM kits that will support immersive STEM education, inspiring exploration and creative problem-solving for youth across the GTA. 🚀

Last week, two of our team members, Zarah & Ale, spent the week in Boston for ‘s Immersion Week training in preparation for the launch of the new 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Some highlights from Immersion Week include:

🌱 Exploring Teen Tech Centre pathway streams for ongoing youth growth
🤝 Connecting with coordinators, educators and youth workers from across North America
🧑🏾‍💻 Workshops & Discussions on: Adobe, beat making, VR & immersive tech, 3D printing, engagement strategies, ++
💡 Exploring examples of youth-centred space design

✨We are very excited to announce that was chosen as a recipient of the 2025 Awards for Science Promotion!

NSERC has been supporting Visions since 2012 to expand equitable access to STEM in high priority communities through hands-on STEM learning. With NSERC’s continuous support, Visions has grown it’s multi-faceted programming throughout the years.

We’re excited to keep the momentum going. NSERC’s award will support us in this journey to expand our STEM Clubs reach, strengthen program quality, and sustain long-term engagement so youth progress seamlessly from elementary to high school.

We’re continuing our 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 series, highlighting some of our hands-on interactive STEM tools. Next up: Virtual Reality! 🥽

This interactive activity engages youth in exploring immersive technology systems through hands-on digital experiences. Using VR headsets, it’s an opportunity to explore VR landscapes and build familiarity with AI and new technologies. Additionally, adding gaming to our hands-on activities allows youth to explore different STEM fields and applications that closely align with their interests.

Designed to spark curiosity and confidence, modules like VR are equipping youth with interactive experiences to inspire their future careers in STEM such as game programming, 3D modelling, software engineering, and beyond! ✨
