Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Drop-In The Drop-In/Food Access Program Provides Daily Meals & Supports To Our Vulnerable Community Members.

The Drop-In & Food Access Program is a friendly, safe space in the Christie Ossington community where folks from all walks of life can relax, socialize, access services, and enjoy a healthy meal together six days a week. In addition to freshly prepared, nutritious lunches, the drop-in provides workshops, recreational activities, showers and laundry, as well as Internet, fax, and phone access. CONC

’s Breaking Barriers team, who assist folks with accessing life management, housing, employment, and health and wellness services, also support our drop-in, as do a multitude of community partners.

πŸ’œ International Overdose Awareness Day πŸ’œ

Today, we came together to remember those we have lost, support those affected, and raise awareness about the impact of overdose in our communities.

A special thank you to our amazing students, staff, community members, and all the organizations that supported today’s event. Your participation, generosity, and compassion helped make this day meaningful. πŸ’œ

Together, we can continue to spread awareness, reduce stigma, and remind people that every life matters.

Remember. Educate. Support. πŸ’œ

πŸ₯— Nutrition, Layer by Layer! πŸ₯—

Today, we held our Nutrition, Layer by Layer Jar Salad Workshop with our amazing holistic nutrition volunteer, Samira! πŸ’š

Participants got hands-on and created their own nutritious, colourful, and delicious salads layered with fresh ingredients including πŸ§… red onion, πŸ«‘ bell peppers, 🫘 chickpeas, πŸ₯• carrots, πŸ₯’ cucumbers, and crisp lettuce! πŸ₯¬

This workshop was all about making healthy eating accessible, affordable, and fun while learning how simple ingredients can come together to create a nourishing meal. 🌱✨

A little colour, a little crunch, a lot of nutrition β€” layer by layer, we’re building healthier lives! πŸ’šπŸ₯—
