EDMONTON, YOU OWE US NOTHING! ❤️

Last month, our Curator & Executive Director, Timea Wharton-Suri, and our Production & Engagement Coordinator, Zahra Badua, had the honour of participating in the Evolving Rhythms Conference at the University of Alberta.

A heartfelt thank you to Eric Awuah and all of the conference participants for creating such a meaningful space to exchange knowledge, share practices, and be in community-rooted African diasporic movement practices across Canada.

The conversations were rich, the connections meaningful, and the energy unforgettable.

ℹ️Experience Kira Arts LIVE as they perform NIMBA at Luminato Festival — a powerful celebration of Guinean culture inspired by the sacred Baga Mother mask and Mount Nimba.
