It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Elena Liu Hung.

Elena has been a valued member of the Ontario Blind Sports Association and a dedicated athlete on OBSA’s Junior Girls’ and Senior Women’s goalball teams for many years. An extraordinary athlete and remarkable person, Elena brought passion, determination, and heart to the sport of goalball and touched the lives of so many in our community.

Elena will be deeply missed. Elena’s presence, spirit, and love for others will never be forgotten as we grapple with her absence.

We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to Elena’s family and loved ones. Please keep them in your thoughts during this unimaginably difficult time.

Guide runners supporting OBSA high-performance track athletes may be eligible for funding through the Guide Assistance Program (GAP). The program provides up to $1,000 per guide per year to help offset eligible costs for out-of-town training camps and competitions.
